Yes. The Dulux Avista Waterbased Epoxy is tintable to a wide range of colours, with low-sheen finish as standard. Beyond solid colour finishes, decorative options like flake treatments or stippled stone effects are also feasible when desired.

Preparation is key. Our process includes:

• Ensuring the concrete slab is fully cured, clean, and free of oil/grease/contaminants. 

• Checking for any existing coatings or sealers and, if necessary, abrading or removing them so the epoxy bonds properly. 

• Repairing cracks, spalls or damaged areas to ensure the surface is sound.

• Then applying the Dulux Avista Waterbased Epoxy in two coats (or more if required) according to product specifications.

The Dulux Avista epoxy system offers a durable low-sheen finish, resistant to wear, stains and typical internal floor use. To keep it looking its best:

• Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove grit or debris.

• Clean up spills (especially oil, solvents or other chemicals) promptly.

• Avoid dragging heavy equipment with exposed sharp wheels directly across the surface.

• If a decorative flake or specialised finish is used, periodic inspection and possible top coat re-application may be recommended.

Although the product is available for purchase, achieving a high-quality, durable outcome requires professional preparation and application. The Dulux Avista system has specific requirements (mixing ratios, surface preparation, curing conditions) that are best handled by experienced applicators. At Horand Industry we handle the full process—from assessment to final application—so you get optimal performance and finish.

Curing time depends on the ambient conditions (temperature, humidity) and the coating thickness. With the Dulux Avista Waterbased Epoxy:

• Touch‐dry may be achieved in a few hours. 

• Light foot traffic may be acceptable around 24 hours, though final cure (and heavy traffic) may require up to 3-5 days depending on conditions. 

We’ll provide a specific timeline for your project, so you know when normal use can resume.

​No — and this is important to understand. The epoxy flooring system is not a structural repair solution. It will cover minor imperfections and provide a clean finish, but it won’t remedy large movement cracks, major slab failure, or subsidence.
